When? Tuesday mornings 10-11:30ish (exact timings may vary adventure depending)
What? Let’s get outside with our little ones, having adventures and exploring. It can be harder than it sounds when you're busy with a million tasks, so let me do the planning and bring the kit - all you need to do is turn up ready for our weekly adventure!
Who? Mini adventures are for children under 5 who are walking confidently. (I will be bringing my 2 ½ year old along.) Baby siblings are welcome free of charge although I would recommend using a baby carrier as most of our adventures won’t be push chair/pram friendly.
Where? These outdoor play sessions are based around Boston Spa and the surrounding villages.
The April - May series is inspired by the wonderful world of Beatrix Potter. We’ll bring her characters and stories to life in the great outdoors!
Tuesday 16th April: Meeting Mr Tod - Bramham
Explore the wonderful world of foxes. Learn to spot some key signs that a fox could be nearby and build a den that Mr Tod would love to live in.
Tuesday 23rd April: Escaping Old Brown - Clifford
What's the best way to stay safe in the wild? Try camouflage like Jeremy Fisher, curling up tight like Mrs Tiggy-Winkle and running super fast like Peter Rabbit.
Tuesday 30th April: Searching for Jemima Puddle-Duck - Thorner
Splash through some puddles, get nice and muddy and explore the fields, woods and the fishpond in search of Jemima.
Tuesday 7th May: Mr McGregor's garden - Bramham
Visit Mr McGregor's garden. Can you pick any of the fruit and vegetables without him noticing? We can have a go at sowing some seeds too.
Tuesday 14th May: A Spring surprise - Boston Spa
Help Peter, Benjamin and Lily to deliver the invites for the Spring picnic. Who will come?!
Sign up on a pay as you go basis for £8 per session or block book 5 sessions for £35.
Maximum of 8 families per session, so please do book your spot in advance to avoid disappointment.

How Forest Babies came to be
I created Forest Babies because I couldn’t find it! I wanted to spend quality time outside with my daughter before she could walk but I couldn’t see any classes or courses that offered me the opportunity...so I made my own! A group of friends agreed to join me and, following the ethos of the Forest Schools’ guiding principles, we headed to the woods with our little ones.

I look forward to seeing you and your little ones for our woodland adventures!

"We loved taking part in Forest Babies, my son Charlie has always been happier outside and there was no class like this available for his age. Molly was a lovely group leader and is very engaging for babies and adults alike. She had some fantastic, novel ideas that we will definitely carry on doing as a family for years to come. I would absolutely recommend this for anybody looking for a fun way to spend quality time with their baby!"
